School Information: Friday, Dec. 12 - Monday, Dec. 15

The Skagit River has now crested in the Concrete area. While this is a positive development, we know there has been significant damage, some roads remain unpassable, and some families are still without power. Our thoughts are with everyone in our community as we continue to navigate the impacts of this event.

As previously communicated, Concrete School District is closed today, and there are no extracurricular or after-school activities.

The following school-related events scheduled for Saturday, December 13, are canceled:

    • The basketball game
    • Pictures with Santa
    • The wrestling tournament in Sedro-Woolley

At this time, we plan for Monday to be a regular school day. Some roads remain unpassable, which may require slight changes to some bus routes; families will be notified on Sunday if this applies to them. In addition, a new weather system is expected beginning Sunday night. If this impacts our families, school hours, or extracurricular activities, we will communicate updates as soon as possible.

Updates will continue to be shared through our website, ParentSquare, and Facebook.

Schools to remain closed on Friday, December 12

Concrete School District will remain closed on Friday, December 12 due to the impacts of the flooding and its aftermath. We hope all of our families are safe and continuing to monitor conditions in their area.

Due to the flooding, we have also canceled the Winter Concert scheduled for today, December 11. The concert will be rescheduled in January, and we will share the new date as soon as possible

There continue to be no after-school activities and no out-of-district transportation until further notice.

All district offices are closed at this time.

Concrete High School is currently serving as a community evacuation site. We ask that campus access be limited to evacuees and the staff or volunteers supporting shelter operations.

Essential district personnel may be on site as needed to support districtwide functions.

We will continue to share updates through our website, ParentSquare, and Facebook.

Please stay safe and follow all guidance from emergency management officials.
