    First Day of School

    Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3, is the first day of school for students in grades 1–12.

    ➡️ Please note: This is NOT a late start day. School runs on a regular schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

    ⚠️ Weekly late start Wednesdays (9:30 a.m. start) will begin on September 10.

    👶 The first day of school for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 10. That day will also be a late start, running 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

    We can’t wait to welcome all of our students back for another great year of learning and growing together! 💜🦁💛

    Middle School Volleyball

    Wednesday 9/3 will be the first day for MS Volleyball. Practice will be right after school in the Elementary School Gym. Please be sure that you are registered in FinalForms and have a current Athletic Physical Exam on file as well. Please have these requirements fulfilled before the first practice to ensure there is no delay in beginning participation.

    Back-to-School Event – Thursday, August 28

    Join us for our Back-to-School Event at Concrete Elementary and Concrete High School on Thursday, August 28, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM!

    • Secondary families (Grades 6–12) will enter through the east side gym entry doors. Tables will be set up down the main high school hallway for forms and schedules, and seating will be available in the commons for those who would like a place to sit and complete paperwork.
    • Elementary families (TK–5) will go to the elementary building to drop off supplies, meet teachers, and complete welcome forms.
    • After check-in, families are invited to visit booths in the field between the schools featuring our school and community partners: Elementary PTO, Concrete Booster Club, Concrete Youth Sports Association (CYSA), Boys & Girls Club, Youth Dynamics, Farm to School, the Concrete Resource Coalition, and more.

    The Elementary PTO will be serving free hotdogs, so be sure to grab a bite while you connect with others and learn more about what’s available this year.

    New for the 2025–2026 School Year:

    • Qmlativ will replace Skyward as our student information system.
    • ParentSquare will become the district’s all-in-one communication tool, replacing Remind, Class Dojo, and any other apps previously used by schools or coaches—including for athletics.

    Staff will be on hand to help families get signed up and ready to stay connected.

    Invitation to Bid Fuel Products 2025-26

    Vendors are invited to submit written proposals for providing diesel heating fuel, diesel bus fuel and unleaded gasoline to the Concrete School District from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026. It is estimated that approximately 40,000 gallons of heating fuel, 16,000 gallons of bus diesel and 4,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline will be used during this fiscal year. These are estimates only and may vary. Deliveries will be made to the Concrete High School complex. Bid prices quoted are to list specifically all costs to be assessed by the District for product, markup, and all applicable taxes in effect on the bid date. Bidders must submit their bid based on rack price as of July 1, 2025. The successful bidder agrees to include bid rack pricing data supporting monthly invoices throughout the 2025-26 year.

    Vendors are required to use a FUEL BID FORM to submit their bids. Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked FUEL BID. For information or to request a form, contact the District Office, (360) 853-4000. Proposals are to be received at the District Office, 45389 Airport Way, Concrete WA 98237 by 11:00 a.m. July 31, 2025 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders and any other interested persons are invited to be present. An official bid award to the lowest responsible bidder will be recommended for approval at the August 28th school board meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Administrative Building, Rm 111.
