    Boys Basketball Banquet Rescheduled

    The boys basketball banquet has been rescheduled. It will be on* Monday, February 26th*, at 6:00pm in the High School Commons.

    HS Spring Sports

    High school spring sports (baseball, softball, and track and field) will begin on* Monday, February 26th*. All participants must be registered on FinalForms and have a current athletic physical exam on file. Please be sure that these requirements are fulfilled in advance in order to avoid any delay in beginning participation.

    State Wrestling Tournament

    We would like to congratulate our 4 High School wrestlers, Riley O’Neil, Trenten Clark, Conner Evans, and Jakob Lofton, who have qualified for this coming weekend’s State Wrestling Tournament, “Mat Classic”, at the Tacoma Dome. We wish you all the best of luck, Lion Nation is behind you all the way!!

Northwest A/B Sportsmanship

    Examples of good sportsmanship:
    -------- -
    – applauding during the introduction of players
    – giving verbal credit after a good play or action
    – accepting all decisions by the officials with “class”
    – being positive toward own team
    – applauding at the end of the contest for both teams
    – showing concern for injured players  
    – shaking hands with opposing players and coaches following the game  
    – encouraging surrounding people to be positive
    Examples of poor sportsmaship:
    ---------- -
    – being disrespectful or derogatory toward opponents or referees
    – refusing to shake hands or give recognition for good performances
    – displaying anger that draws attention away from the game
    – harassing opponents after the game outside  of the playing area (i.e. gym lobby)
    – distracting opponents (i.e. free throws)
