Lions Football in State Playoffs!

The Lions Football squad will face Almira-Coulee-Hartline on Saturday, 11/11/23 in a first round State 1B Playoff game in Moses Lake. The game will be played at Lions Field, 715 W. 4th Ave, Moses Lake, WA. Kickoff is set for 1:00PM. GO LIONS!!! read more…

Lions Football (Sr. Day) Saturday 11/4/23

The Lions Football team will work towards a spot in the 1B State Playoffs with a win or go home play-in game vs Oakville HS, Saturday 11/4/23 in Memorial Stadium @ CHS. Kickoff is set for 2:00 with the winner continuing on to the first round of the State Playoffs.
The Lions will also be recognizing and honoring their 5 Senior team members in a pregame ceremony. Halftime will feature the Concrete Mini Cheer group, led by the CHS Cheer Squad.

Football Game Cancelled (10/27/2023)

Due to their lack of availability of eligible players, Charles Wright Academy had to cancel our Friday night football game (10/27/2023). The Lions will be back in action next week. Date, time, and opponent TBD. The winner of next week’s game will advance to the State Playoffs. Details will be released Saturday evening, 10/28, after the full schedule of games for this weekend have been completed.

Examples of good sportsmanship: Examples of poor sportsmaship:
– applauding during the introduction of players – being disrespectful or derogatory toward opponents or referees
– giving verbal credit after a good play or action – refusing to shake hands or give recognition for good performances
– accepting all decisions by the officials with “class” – displaying anger that draws attention away from the game
– being positive toward own team – harassing opponents after the game outside  of the playing area (i.e. gym lobby)
– applauding at the end of the contest for both teams – distracting opponents (i.e. free throws)
– showing concern for injured players  
– shaking hands with opposing players and coaches following the game  
– encouraging surrounding people to be positive
