Android Device Wi-Fi Instructions
Summary
Connect to the CSD-FirstConnect Wi-Fi network. You might be redirected to a login page. If not, open a web browser app and try to browse to a web page. You should be redirected to wifi.concrete.k12.wa.us/activate. Sign in with your regular school computer username and password (the login you use when you first get on a computer). Disregard any downloads and click the link on the last bullet point for manual set up. Copy the text in the “Network key” box. Disconnect from CSD-FirstConnect and forget the network so your phone doesn’t try to reconnect to it. Now connect to “CSD-Staff” or “CSD-Student”. For the password, paste in your network key. You’re now connected to the Wi-Fi. Your device should remember the network and password and you won’t have to repeat this process.
Step By Step
Note that Android devices come in different versions and various interfaces. Your individual steps may differ slightly.
1. Connect to the CSD-FirstConnect Wi-Fi network. This network only allows access to the activation page.
2. The login page might automatically come up. If it does not, open up a web browser app and try to browse to a page. You should be redirected to wifi.concrete.k12.wa.us/activate. Sign in with your regular school computer username and password (the login you use when you first get on a computer).
3. Click the yellow “click here” link on the last bullet point for manual set up.
4. Copy the text in the “Network key” box. This is your Wi-Fi password and it is unique to you and your device. You will be pasting this in soon.
5. Forget the “CSD-FirstConnect” network so your device doesn’t try to automatically connect to it. Usually you can long press on the network to bring up the option to forget it.
6. Now connect to either the “CSD-Staff” or “CSD-Student” Wi-Fi network. Paste in the network key you copied in Step 4 and hit connect. You now have Wi-Fi access. Your device should remember the network and password and you will not have to repeat these steps again unless you get a new device.
Please remember that activating a device on the Wi-Fi with your login info will tie that device to you. Do not sign in on another person’s device. You may be held responsible for activities that originate from it.
